Jimmy Kimmel is taking his suspension in stride, according to Adam Carolla. 

In a new episode of The Adam Carolla Show, the podcaster shared a brief text exchange he had with Kimmel shortly after ABC announced its decision to yank Jimmy Kimmel Live! from the airwaves. Carolla said that after texting “thinking about you,” Kimmel responded, “Wow, it’s strange times out here,” and said he was “being followed by a helicopter.” 

Kimmel’s staffers are also grappling with the host’s indefinite suspension. An unnamed Jimmy Kimmel Live! writer told reporter Rick Ellis that while they were “surprised it happened that specific day,” they had a hunch that something like it was coming for some time. “I had zero faith that any of the network execs had the slightest bit of stones to stand up for their employees,” they said of their Disney bosses. “Every time some MAGA asshat would spout off about the show, the knot in my stomach just got tighter.”
