Drew Carey never wanted his show to be like Seinfeld. 

The legendary comedian explained his decision to pitch his eponymous sitcom as the “anti-Seinfeld,” saying that he found himself wondering what the deal was with shows almost exclusively taking place in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. “There are so many other cities that people live in,” he said of his decision to set his sitcom in his Midwestern hometown of Cleveland. “It’s just annoying.”

Meanwhile, comedian Andrew Santino recently shared his beef with a certain Burbank-based mouse, and divulged that Hulu “couldn’t wait to trim the fat” on jokes poking fun at “Disney adults” in his new stand-up special, White Noise. Santino was ultimately able to find a middle ground with Hulu while editing the special, though some of his punchlines “were manipulated” in the process. “I’m not going to lie: They definitely changed the jokes,” he confessed.
