‘We are the daughters of the monsters you could not mash’

Colin Jost is officially heading back to Saturday Night Live next month — at least if his wife, Scarlett Johansson, has a say in the matter.

Days after the “Weekend Update” anchor told audiences he’d “probably” appear on SNL’s 51st season, Johansson set the record straight about his future on the sketch series, telling reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival that Jost will be “going back to work” at Studio 8H this fall.

Further south, King of the Hill creator Mike Judge revealed the real-life Texas chef who shaped grown-up Bobby Hill’s culinary career, citing Austin-based sushi master Tyson Cole as a major source of inspiration for the now 20-something character. “I thought, ‘Bobby could be that guy,’” he explained, noting that Cole “was in (his) subconscious” as he wrote for the Robata Chane chef.

We’re sure that these hilarious tweets, however, will be at the front of your mind all day. Today’s funniest include those about soup season fantasies, compromising with your landlord and the correct way to be a nepo baby.
