‘(Flirting) What’s every single thing you’ve ever thought?’

No, Weapons’ gory climax isn’t a gruesome homage to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Director Zach Cregger recently addressed viral speculation that Ferris Bueller’s mad dash home from downtown Chicago inspired Weapons’ final chase scene, clarifying that John Hughes had nothing to do with Aunt Gladys’ gory demise. “No Ferris Bueller in here,” Cregger explained, noting that he did, however, take inspiration from Raising Arizona, while crafting the sequence.

Rumors have also been swirling about SNL’s ongoing cast shake-ups, including one claiming that Lorne Michaels just might destroy Please Don’t Destroy. Stopping short of naming names, online speculations suggest that the sketch comedy trio is headed for a breakup, hinting that one unspecified player will be leaving the show, a second unnamed member will stay on SNL as a writer, while a third, most likely Ben Marshall, will earn a promotion to the main cast.

We’ll have to wait and see how Please Don’t Destroy fares in SNL’s ongoing exodus, but we’re confident these tweets will have you laughing. Today’s funniest include those about a real pasta lover, early morning dispensary runs and the final boss of performative males.
