‘No more ragebaiting around me pls. Let’s try joybaiting, perhaps even lovebaiting’

Jimmy Kimmel isn’t buying CBS’ claims that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was hemorrhaging cash. This week, the late-night host defended his colleague, slamming the network’s assertion that Colbert’s show lost $40 million per year as “beyond nonsensical.” “There’s just not a snowball’s chance in hell that that’s anywhere near accurate,” he said of the astronomical figure that CBS and Paramount Global cited in their decision to cancel The Late Show

All it took for Tim Allen to allegedly get Harold Ramis axed from 1999’s Galaxy Quest, however, was an awkward dinner conversation. According to Allen, Ramis abruptly left the project after disagreeing with the actor and studio executives about the direction of character Jason Nesmith, suggesting that the role go to “an action guy” instead of the Toy Story star.

“I came back from the bathroom, and he was gone. And they said, ‘We’re going to move on to another director,’” Allen remembered of their disastrous night out. “So I got him fired, and I’ve never felt good about that.”

We can all feel good that these hilarious tweets are here to stay. This week’s funniest include those about IMDb trivia, some serious “side eye” and the joys of an old-school computer room.
