Got questions, comments or concerns about Severance? Ben Stiller doesn’t want to hear it. The actor-turned-executive-producer of the AppleTV+ series opened up about engaging with fans over the psychological drama, revealing that he’s done his damnedest to tune out naysayers amid the show’s ongoing second season.

“I check in on some of the podcasts and usually listen until they say anything that’s critical of one of the episodes,” Stiller explained during a South by Southwest panel on Sunday. “Then I stop listening to them and never listen to them again.” Stiller added that while he’s “immensely grateful” that Severance has been so widely embraced, he avoids consuming too many fan opinions, as they can be negative for his job performance.

Stiller isn’t the only one tuning out the haters either. Ahead of the highly-anticipated Spinal Tap sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, which is set to hit theaters in September, a newly-resurfaced 2023 interview with Rob Reiner underscored just how big of a role the late Norman Lear had in bringing the beloved mockumentary to life. “Norman was the first guy to recognize that I had a sense of humor,” Reiner told Today of the iconic showrunner, who put up $2 million of his own cash to help fund the film’s crew. “He’s been my champion for a long time.”

Meanwhile, the haters on the timeline have been busier than ever. Today’s funniest tweets include those about LinkedIn notifications, a Nathan Fielder beverage venture and an infectious Facebook reel.
