Those are their trusted confidantes

Twenty years later, Ben Stiller continues to marvel at his generational run of early aught comedies. Stiller appeared on The Interview podcast with The New York Times and recalled opening up the L.A. Times to an op-ed that read, “Dear God, stop putting Ben Stiller in comedies.” The Frat Pack actor shared that he wasn’t sure what it was about films like There’s Something About Mary or Meet the Parents that made them take off the way they did, but that it was something he was “fortunate to be a part of,” adding that there’s a “specific tone” about 2000s comedies that he doesn’t think could be replicated today.

That said, Stiller returned to the Happy Gilmore sequel with Adam Sandler in the hopes of making magic twice. Travis Kelce, one of their new co-stars, joined The Pat McAfee Show and talked about his time filming with Sandler, Stiller and everyone else in Happy Gilmore 2. The Chiefs tight end described Sandler as the “Andy Reid of the acting world,” called the experience a “dream come true” and noted that it even eclipsed his SNL hosting gig, which he thought was going to be the “peak of (his) entertainment career.”

Meanwhile, the timeline is on a red-hot streak with the jokes. Today’s funniest tweets include those about the hardest working PAs in show business, subway stations from a bygone era and one tight redesign.
