41 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of January 6, 2025

Brings a tear to your eye, doesn’t it?

Amy Schumer is back, and she’s kinda pregnant. No, she’s not actually adding a second baby to her family, but she is adding a new entry to her filmography.

Netflix recently released the trailer for Schumer’s new film Kinda Pregnant, which follows a woman who is jealous of her pregnant best friend and decides to fake a baby bump of her own. While it’s her first starring movie role since 2018’s I Feel Pretty, the comedian has been busy on the television side of things with appearances in Only Murders in the Building, an Oscars co-hosting stint and her own Hulu series Life & Beth

One Twitter user, however, was very confused about Schumer’s longevity because she’s “not nearly talented or compelling enough” to warrant it. Their only explanation is that there must be some kind of Amy Schumer Affirmative Action Program in Hollywood.

Lucky for Schumer, though, her mind-boggling career wasn’t the only thing getting dragged through the mud this week. Some of the other things getting ridiculed on the timeline included streaming services, a director with commitment issues and a tiny crustacean.
