We’ve all felt like that

The first of two episodes from the Abbott Elementary/It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia crossover has aired, and fans witnessed a rare moment of character development. After 17-odd seasons, a language of proto-hieroglyphs and a placebo pill for the ages, Charlie Kelly — It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s famously illiterate Rat King — is now slightly less illiterate. Abbott Elementary’s Barbara Howard, along with a room of encouraging kindergarteners, looked on as Charlie successfully sounded out a sentence, accomplishing what no man, science bitch or Philadelphia educator had before her.

And while Abbott Elementary showrunner Quinta Brunson warns against fans of the family-friendly series venturing into the Sunny side of Philadelphia, Kaitlin Olson disagrees. So much so that she recommended a few episodes that are less chaotic than others. Olson does, however, issue a warning: “Please don’t watch ‘The Nightman Cometh’ with your grandma.”

Outside of Philadelphia, the world was getting hilarious tweets off. The funniest of which include those about the cry of French stoners, reverent theater seats and an idea for a new January.
