When Avengers: Endgame dropped, it was supposed to be a farewell to some of Marvel’s most iconic characters like Iron Man and Captain America. But it seems like saying goodbye and getting out of Kevin Feige’s death grip is easier said than done. 

Over the summer, Robert Downey Jr.’s sudden return to the Avengers universe as Dr. Doom was announced with a massive payday to boot. And after reprising his fiery Johnny Storm for a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, Chris Evans will be following suit by joining the cast of the upcoming Avengers sequel, per The Wrap. To which one Twitter user noted that “pushing 45 and not having a career outside Captain America is crazy levels of washed.” It definitely doesn’t help Evans’ case that his most recent movie was the dreadful holiday turd Red One. 

Evans wasn’t alone in getting a lashing from the timeline this week, though. Other digital burn victims included someone with a haunted house, a former GOAT and a really out-of-touch design team.
