Although Jim Carrey previously announced his retirement in 2022, he’s gone back on that statement by reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik in the third installment of Paramount’s live-action Sonic franchise. During the film’s London premiere, Carrey told AP Entertainment that he returned to the series because he “bought a lot of stuff” and “need(s) the money, frankly.”
He must have a lot of bills to pay, because the bald mad scientist isn’t the only part he’s interested in revisiting. Carrey revealed that he would play both of the green menaces he’s known for again, too. He told ComicBook.com that he’d do a sequel for the Grinch if it meant avoiding the “extremely excruciating process” of makeup and prosthetics, and shared that he’d also don the mask again if somebody had “the right idea.”
Someone please get an original role into Carrey’s hands.
Meanwhile, during a recent appearance on Fox News@Night, Rob Schneider announced that he’ll be launching a new woman’s talk show to rival The View. The Hot Chicks actor promised his version “will be the opposite (of The View) because this will be entertaining. It’ll be funny.” He didn’t disclose who his versions of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar would be, but he did reveal that the roster would consist of “household names.”
The view is quite nice on the timeline — and very hilarious. Today’s funniest tweets include those about how to watch New Girl, the perfect way to prank a coworker and what is most definitely a dining table.
