48 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of November 4, 2024

At least he’s being upfront

Per usual, a lot happened this week. In Scranton, casting director Allison Jones went on the Office Ladies podcast to reveal that although we consider Steve Carell and Michael Scott as one-and-the-same, Carell wasn’t Greg Daniels’ first pick for the role. In otherworldly news, Josh Gad says that the newly finished script for Spaceballs 2 is “amazing” — which is exactly what the screenwriter of the newly finished script for Spaceballs 2 would say. And while live from New York as the host of SNL, John Mulaney poked fun at a man with a very unfortunate name: Harvey Epstein, who is a real guy running for city council. Epstein does, though, have a good sense of humor about the whole thing, even taking to Twitter to agree with some of Mulaney’s jokes.

We also got some great news from the Academy. While they still don’t have a host for the upcoming Oscars, we have been marked safe from a ceremony led by Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool & Wolverine star was very candid on the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast about rumors of him and Hugh Jackman being “top choices” for the gig, stating that although it’s his dream to host one day, that day isn’t coming any time soon.

Over on the timeline, this week’s tweets were wild. The funniest included those about Milwaukee’s Wario, why you shouldn’t kill yourself and Paddington’s revenge.
