48 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of September 2, 2024

You’re probably aware by now that multiple iterations of a Minecraft film adaptation have been developed and abandoned for the better part of a decade. Given the long wait, fans of the pixelated game were excited to finally catch a glimpse of what Warner Bros. will be releasing in theaters next year. 

The first trailer for A Minecraft Movie, which stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black and Danielle Brooks, was released this week, and unfortunately for all of those involved, the online critics didn’t hold back. Many roasted the “terrifying to look at” animation style, while others pointed out that director Jared Hess might want to be on the lookout for a group of murderous 10-year-olds.

That said, the Minecraft trailer might have taken the brunt of the burns this week, but it was far from the only thing getting roasted. Other digital burn victims included polyamorous lovers, an NFL star whose outfit needs some biscuits and practically named Pennsylvania cities.
