39 of the Funniest Memes from the Week of June 22, 2024

She wouldn’t understand the question or respond to it

The rise in unnecessary tech means we’re being given solutions to things that weren’t problems to begin with. Case in point: QR code menus. This week, Twitter users started citing the most respected and feared women on television who would immediately reject the idea of fixing their phone camera on a code to see what a restaurant had to serve them.

But before we get to the formidable females who absolutely wouldn’t deal with such newfangled food-ordering options, we have memes to cover about the presidential debate and a certain pop star.

Biden v. Trump: The Sequel

Watching Joe Biden and Donald Trump revive their 2020 rivalry during Thursday night’s debate proved that neither of them are capable of doing what Shrek has — giving us a good sequel. Regardless, a mess can be entertaining, and seeing those two bags of bones barely holding it together gave us an onslaught of memes to temporarily distract us from the fact that this country is screwed.

The World Tour Is Ruined

Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest is the gift that keeps on giving. After his mugshot and perp walk made the rounds last week, aging millennials spent this week turning Timberlake’s drunken words into a hit, making his ruined world tour one for the books.

Imagine Telling Them About the QR Code

For the record, we’re positive Lucille Bluth would utter her classic line “I don’t understand the question, and I won’t respond to it,” if a QR code was even mentioned in her presence. But seeing her go through all that rigamarole to order a glass of pinot grigio with a single ice cube would be a sensational Arrested Development subplot.

Giving Emily Gilmore or Livia Soprano a piece of paper to be scanned with a smartphone, however, is unconscionable.
