The Kansas City Chiefs came out on top in a close 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, marking the first time defending champions won back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2005. The only thing more impressive than MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes nabbing his third Super Bowl ring is that Temu, the Chinese e-commerce marketplace known for its heavily discounted goods that are almost too cheap to believe, somehow managed to run four ads over the course of the game. 

Super Bowl Sunday also gave viewers an authorized glimpse into the upcoming Deadpool sequel, the official title of which will share space with the clawed berserker himself: Wolverine. Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine will be the Merc With a Mouth’s first appearance under the Disney umbrella since the studio’s colossal $71.3 billion acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019. Ryan Reynolds will begin sullying Disney’s squeaky-clean image with filthy jokes in late July.
