Another Halloweekend has come and gone, and despite SAG-AFTRA’s best efforts, there were still a lot of Mojo Dojo Kens and killer M3GANs running around. In a call for solidarity during their ongoing negotiations with the studios, the union asked actors and anyone supporting the cause to “choose costumes inspired by generalized characters and figures” like ghosts, zombies and hot Starbucks Sirens — a stance that was met with criticism. 

Megan Fox, whose most recent credits include Expend4bles and her boyfriend’s Razzie Award-winning directorial debut Good Mourning, let it be known where she stands on the matter. In a characteristically defiant move, the Jennifer’s Body actress tagged “@sagaftra” in the caption of a photo where she was dressed as Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill. 

SAG-AFTRA compliant or not, celebrities showed out to celebrate the holiday with a variety of costumes, including an Oscar-nominated actress who was destined to be Guy Fieri, Rosemary and her big baby and a couple seemingly unfamiliar with the fact that Mario and Luigi are brothers.
