15 Seemingly Credible UFO Sightings In 2025
For whatever reason, 2025 has yielded more UFO sightings than previous years. Does this year mean something to our otherworldly friends? There’s yet another unanswered question. So while exact numbers are hard to pin down, the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) the U.S. logged over 2,000 sightings by July 2025. Some reports claim roughly 9000 total in the U.S. this year. Imagine how many go unreported by people still too embarrassed to come forward? Come on, people! With this many sightings, no one is going to think you’re crazy!
Hmm, now that we think about it, maybe 2025 isn’t special when it comes to the number of visits. Maybe people are just better-able to capture them, and aren’t as afraid to share their findings. Either way, we’re loving all these fresh cases. Sure, we feel a little left out that we haven’t seen any for ourselves. Guess we’ll just have to live vicariously through these sweet yet slightly unsettling sightings.
Strange lights filmed over Australia
Bradley Plane
On September 10, 2025, father and son Shane and Bradley Plane were driving near Point Moore in Geraldton, 420 kilometres (261 miles) north of Perth, when they spotted three or four lights in the sky. The Mid West Ports Authority suggested the lights could be caused by ship light refraction, but Perth Observatory says multiple sightings extend well beyond the ocean, with reports coming from far inland.
Dancing Spheres over Iowa
From Central City, Iowa, a video shot on Nov 5, 2025 shows orbs coming from all directions and meeting in the middle. The eyewitness stated that the balls of flying light initially appeared as a faint, dim light that progressively increased in brightness as they moved.
Navy sailors spot mysterious aircraft launching from sea

Over the coast of California, Navy sailors captured UFO footage of oddly-shaped aircraft rising from the ocean before jetting off in a synchronized fashion. UFO documentarian Jeremy Corbell said, " is a machine that is able to outpace, outmaneuver, and outperform anything that we know of that's been made by technology and terrestrial nations.”
Pilots spot 3 mysterious aircraft
On December 1, 2025, pilots on a private jet flying 43,000 feet above Jamestown, NY saw 3 extremely fast, highly reflective aircraft over Southern Ontario, Canada, and reported it to air traffic control. The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) wrote, “this was a very strange event involving three aircraft with incredible performance observed from long and indeterminate range by two highly experienced pilots.”

On December 4, 2025, two witnesses saw a bright white, blue, and red blinking object that was “brighter than the surrounding stars.” They also reported a second yellow object hovering on the horizon in the tree line, and said they moved around each other for over an hour. A “dish-shaped object” over Wisconsin

On November 4, 2025, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, two factory workers captured video of a “dish-shaped object” gliding beneath a plane. Alex Ramage and Andrei Volk insist they haven’t faked the video and can’t think of any other explanation for the unknown mass.
A backyard sighting in The Netherlands
On June 30, 2025, in Hulst, Zeeland, Netherlands, a witness reported a fast, zigzagging, bright white light in the sky. He said, “It was moving very fast in a zig-zag motion — not a typical zig-zag, but a subtle one — and it looked like it was floating while doing so. It was extremely strange, very, very unusual. In August, 2025 over Winter Park, FL, a witness driving at 6:35am noticed “ four bright white lights in the sky in a stationary vertical line formation.” They continued, “After about two minutes, they began to move into another formation the shape of a sideways horseshoe. A video posted on June 10, 2025 shows a mysterious flying metallic orb known as the "Buga Sphere," and the footage is associated with several claims of other mysterious spheres discovered in the region. Researchers who have one in their possession say it reacts to different frequencies, like Sanskrit chants.
A UFO spotted along the India-Bangladesh border
In West Bengal, India, on Friday, May 23, 2025, a strange sighting prompted investigations by both the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police. Eyewitnesses described the object as "drone-like" with multi-coloured blinking lights. It reportedly appeared suddenly, remained stationary in the sky for approximately 10 to 12 minutes, and then disappeared.

While shooting in Zimbabwe, filmmaker Andrew Sier White captured multiple objects that appear to be beyond Earth’s atmosphere switching on and off. After catching them on a time lapse and real-time video, he’s trying to get answers on what exactly they are.
The metallic, octahedron-shaped object over California

On April 4, 2025, two witnesses observed a dark metallic object around 9:00pm near Granite High School in Porterville, California. It was estimated to be 600 to 800 feet away, and about the size of a UPS truck. Witnesses say it flew silently and without lights at roughly 30 to 35 mph. One witness (known as “Z”) described it as having markings or engravings — possibly resembling ancient hieroglyphics — visible due to moonlight.

On May 7, 2025 in Shermans Dale, PA, a female witness known as “T” reported, “I walked outside to smoke a cigarette and saw a very bright light shining out of our woods beside the house. The bright light was so bright that it felt like a spot light was shining out of the woods towards me. While I was outside I heard a consistent clicking sound, and I had an uneasy feeling since four days earlier my son had an encounter and vanished for several hours.”
Repeated encounters in Michigan
Over several nights from September through October of 2025, a northern Michigan couple saw basketball-sized illuminated objects appearing at eye level in their yard. NUFORC investigator John Budrys was able to conduct several interviews with the witnesses and judged them to be highly credible and precise.

On May 2, 2025 in Holladay, UT, a witness claimed to have been observed by mysterious beings. They said, “I was woken up somehow but felt glued to my bed, and witnessed 2 maybe 3 little beings not even a foot tall at the base of my bed. These tiny beings after I've looked up things today would be called greys, but they were smaller than anything I've read about today. It was anywhere from 5 to 30 secs. Either 1 of them or more went right out my basement window as if it wasn't there.”
